The real performance proved to be lower than the forecasted energy yield estimated in the engineering phase.
The production data were analyzed and was confirmed that the plant had a lower yield than the expected due to an accelerated degradation of the modules.
The revamping solution was validated by the Engineering & Works team of BayWa r.e. Operation Services and ca. 4,300 photovoltaic modules have been substituted with 2,700 Suntech STP 275-20, 275 W polycrystalline modules.
The commissioning took place as scheduled and the works have been carried out and completed in only 30 days.
Giovanni Burrometo, the project manager said “We are very proud to have completed the revamping works notwithstanding the strange and uncertaint moment we are all living because of the Covid-19 emergency. All materials have been delivered on time and the works were carried out and completed in a workmanlike manner within the contractual terms."
