local case study
ItalyWith a duration of 20 years, this contract is the longest PPA in conjunction with a new PV plant closed in in Italy.
Based on a business model of self-consumption with supply of excess energy into the grid and a fixed price, BayWa r.e. initially supported the client in form of a preliminary feasibility analysis of the project.
The project unfolds as solar carport with a total installed nominal capacity of 805.98 kWp, built around a PPA contract and a public tariff (“Decreto FER1”) securing long-term cash-flows over a 20-year period for the PV Plantplant. The client is able to count on a very high rate of self-consumption with supply of excess energy into the grid at a fixed price, serving as an energy price hedge and providing planning security for the company.
